Finance Management Graduate
Scunthorpe Finance Team
I was a Financial Accounts Intern on placement during my third year at University. During this time, I learnt the basics of Financial Accounting, performing balance sheet reconciliations and posting month end journals. I continued in this role on a part time basis in my final year of University.
The sheer size and number of roles within the company, and the associated opportunities for progression stood out for me. The graduate role provides the opportunity to rotate around the different areas within Finance over the three years, which really appealed to me.
Maybe CFO… maybe Financial Director. My main goal is to obtain a position where I can create a significant impact in what I do. The chance to influence people and develop new strategies.
Slightly less related, I want to get my MSc in a finance-related subject!
I’ve been to see the Cern Hadron Collider
(the world’s largest particle accelerator) in
Geneva, Switzerland.

I completed my industrial placement year as a Finance Student Placement at 8x8’s UK head office. This role provided me with experience in Accounts Payable, Credit Control and Billing Support.
The structure of the scheme was very attractive as it gives you the opportunity to gain experience in multiple areas of finance in a large company, to gain knowledge and explore the areas of interest which you may want to specialise in. It also supports the opportunity to become a qualified chartered accountant. I found everyone at 2 Sisters to be very welcoming and helpful during the application process, especially at the assessment centre!
To complete all my CIMA exams and become a qualified chartered accountant before the 3-year scheme has completed.
Once fully qualified I would like to pursue a more senior finance role within 2 Sisters and continue with my personal development.
For my 18th birthday I raised money for Parkinson’s UK by completing a sponsored skydive! I really enjoyed
the experience and would love to do
it again soon.

I previously completed a management graduate programme and worked within a small business prior to joining 2 Sisters. I felt that moving to 2 Sisters was a natural progression into a role with greater scope for personal development.
One thing I always look for in a business is a challenge. 2 Sisters’ finance graduate programme offers a unique opportunity to work and contribute to a team based within a highly regulated, competitive and rapidly evolving industry. The opportunity to work within a privately owned multi-billion-pound business provides a real opportunity to bring about big change to processes, set out new strategies and create a positive culture across the sites.
I have always been very driven and hope that I will be able to have a long and merit worthy career. Having only been with the business for a short period of time it is amazing to see the support and structure in place to ensure that a finance graduate has a successful career.
I love sport. I am currently working towards completing my first marathon and hopefully a triathlon. This has been more of a journey for me having lost over 22KG to get to the point I am at now.
Completed industrial placement year as Finance Intern for GE Aviation and I am a gymnastics coach.
The fact that the programme is rotational and gives you the opportunity to work in different areas of the business throughout the three years. I also really liked the idea of working within the food manufacturing industry, as I have previous manufacturing experience and wanted to move away from aviation.
To become a successful industry finance leader and one day CFO. To be a role model and inspire future generations, especially women to know that they can achieve whatever they put their mind to.
I have climbed all three of the tallest mountains in the UK- Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike
Nadia Moneim - Financial Planning

FP&A
Accounts Payable Clerk at Skn Clinics and prior to that a Customer Sales Advisor for Sky.
Having a series of roles designed to learn and develop lots of new skills by working practically and rotationally across different financial areas of the business. This will provide me with the best hands on experience and opportunity to expose myself to the many different areas of the business while improving my understanding and knowledge.
I will be working towards gaining my professional qualification in either CIMA or ACCA over the three years. From studying accounting & finance as my degree it’s always been a goal of mine to achieve my professional qualification to help progress into a career in the industry that I am so passionate about.
To gain my professional qualifications. I aspire to be a professional accountant and gain a more senior role within the business.
I have an avid interest in languages. I am fluent in
English and also speak French, Arabic
and Welsh – intermediate level.

SSC Finance based in Wakefield
Venture Capital Solutions Intern at the British Business Bank, Wellbeing Volunteer at Age UK and Customer Account Manager at the School Planner Company.
The main attraction of 2 Sisters is the welcoming and friendly culture. In terms of the role, my interest in finance stems from my time at the British Business Bank which provided me with a unique perspective from the UK’s own economic development bank and gave me an insight into the world of venture capital. In addition, I have a keen interest in food manufacturing from my A Level studies in Biology and Business. Working for one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers therefore compliments my financial aspirations and my passion for food production.
Whilst I aspire to climb the financial ladder, I would love to stay within food manufacturing and grow my expertise within the industry.

Tanisha-Ann Meitiner - Finance Graduate

Café and general assistant at Kirklees Light Railway. One year internship at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, joining as a Management Trainee and being promoted to a Management Assistant.
I wanted to work for a well-known, respected company that held my guiding principles: personal development and career development.
The graduate role covers a lot of different aspects of finance such as Audit, Tax and different sectors of accounting, which means I can gain more knowledge in these areas and apply what I have learnt from University.
The structured development program provides mentoring and the opportunity to gain my ACCA qualifications.
To complete my ACCA exams and become a qualified charted accountant. Once qualified I would love to progress within the company and take on management roles within the finance function.
I was born in Durban, South Africa, and lived there for just over three years. When I was two years old, I was found at the bottom of the garden sitting in the middle of a nest of hissing baby
snakes playing with them all!
