Chicken factory backs community with £1,000 gift for local school

Llangefni’s largest employer has made a generous donation to local school Ysgol y Bont.

The £1000 donation from the 2 Sisters Food Group’s factory on Industrial Estate Road is to support the fantastic work at the school which supports pupils with learning and educational needs.

Anglesey MP Virginia Crosbie was on hand to present the cheque alongside Stephanie Wilson, Production Operative at the factory.

Alistair Millar, Site General Manager, said: “Our factory plays a big role in the local community and provides employment to many families on the island. We have introduced a programme to engage with local businesses and projects to enable us to give back to our community in which ever way we can.”

Virginia Crosbie MP added: "It was an absolute pleasure to present this cheque to the school on behalf of 2 Sisters in Llangefni. It was also a pleasure to visit the school and meet with staff and most importantly the students. I felt the school's warm and caring atmosphere as soon as I went through the door.

"A special thank you to 2 Sisters for making this donation. It is a big employer on the island and it's great that they want to give back to their community in this way."
