Colleagues at our Shared Service Centre have been awarded the “Workplace Wellbeing Charter Mark Award” by Wakefield Council.
The 2 Sisters team from Trinity Business Park was selected for the award after they demonstrated their on-going commitment to develop a sustained culture of health and wellbeing in the workplace.
During the past three years, the West Yorkshire team has run a series of events around the Wellbeing week ranging from mindfulness sessions, hypno-relaxation, healthy eating, drink awareness and health MOT’s.
Nigel Perry, Group people and change director at 2 Sisters, said: "A healthy workforce is more productive and taking steps to improve the health and wellbeing of colleagues makes good business sense.”

Siobhan Baird, Group HR business partner at the Shared Service Centre, said: “This award acknowledges the effort invested by everyone at Wakefield, particularly the fantastic hard work and commitment shown by Vicki Lyons HR and training advisor during the last three years.
“Our office is passionate about workplace wellbeing and the latest campaign, a six week challenge to reduce your metabolic age by five years, looks set to get even more colleagues involved.”
Councillor Pat Garbutt, cabinet member for adults and health at Wakefield Council, said: “I am pleased that 2 Sisters Wakefield has shown they are committed to promoting good health amongst their employees. A workplace that promotes health is a great way of improving the overall health of our residents.”
