Eat your heart out Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry!

As part of this year’s Macmillan’s Coffee Morning fund-raising efforts, our site teams from across the UK  pulled out all the stops with a mind-boggling array of delicious cakes.

Nowhere did the team get more creative then at our Scunthorpe poultry site with the training team organising a ‘Great British Bake Off’ themed event.

Dan Whillock, general manager, said: “The standard of the cakes was amazing. The novelty cakes were incredible and included a weird and wonderful spinach and pomegranate cake which was actually delicious. The team’s generosity on the day was just one of the reasons I am so proud of them.”

Fittingly, a 'chicken' cake made scooped the novelty prize while a somewhat more traditional Victoria sponge  was voted best tasting.

An auction of cakes at the event, which is set to become an annual fixture, helped raise a hundreds of pounds help people living with cancer.
