Swapping heels for walking boots

Intrepid Grimsby GM Stacy Picker, alongside family and friends, recently completed the ‘Yorkshire Three Peaks’ challenge, a 24-mile round trip route, which includes 1585m of ascent.

Thanks to the great British weather, the team battled rain, wind and a hailstorm to reach the summits of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, which form part of the Pennine range, near the river Ribble in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Stacy said: “It was a physical and emotionally challenging day, but the team all completed it raising an amazing £1800 for Cancer Research UK.

“A massive thank you to all who supported or sponsored us.”
