Red Meat

2 Sisters acquired our red meat operations following the purchase of VION in 2013.

Established in 1987, St Merryn Foods now operates from three major sites; a retail packing factory at Victoria in Cornwall, a beef processing site in Bodmin, Cornwall and the flagship site in Merthyr Tydfil with its combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities.

St Merryn Foods prides itself on providing a professional, competitive and friendly service to the farming businesses which supply it with quality livestock. At the same time, the business works closely with its retail customers, to ensure that millions of consumers across the UK are able to enjoy high quality beef and lamb.

McIntosh Donald – Portlethen

Cookstown Road, Portlethen, Aberdeen, AB12 4QB

Has been operating since 1966 and has the capacity to slaughter and de-bone 1550 cattle per week, and 2750 lambs per week. 

St Merryn - Bodmin

Unit 9, Cooksland Business Park, Bodmin, PL31 2QB

Has been at its current location since 1987 and has the capacity to slaughter and de-bone 1,875 cattle per week and pack 200 tonnes of meat per week.

St Merryn - Merthyr Tydfil

Penygarnddu industrial Estate, Merthyr Tydfil, CF48 2TA, Wales

Has been at its current location since 1999 and has the capacity to slaughter and de-bone 2,400 cattle and 24,000 lamb per week. The site is also capable of packing 1,300 tonnes per week for retail.

St Merryn - Victoria

Talgarrek House, Victoria Business Park, PL26 8LX

Has been at its current location since 1995 and has the capacity to pack 800 tonnes of meat per week.
