The Bakery division produces hot cross buns, pies and puddings! It includes the brands Holland’s Pies and McDougalls Pies in its portfolio.
The division supplies all major retailers with Holland’s Pies also selling product via fish and chip shops and sports stadiums including Manchester City FC and Manchester United FC.
The Bakery division employs over 1500 colleagues across the UK and Ireland, with one site in Ireland in Portumna.

Holland's Pies can trace its history back to 1851 when John Whittaker started a confectionary shop in Haslingden and employed Richard Holland.
In 1869, Richard was married to John's daughter Sarah and they took over the family business re-naming it Holland’s. In 1907 Baxenden was established as the home of Holland's Pies and the current bakery has been their home since 1936.

The Green Isle Foods site Portumna was formed in 1987 in the west of Ireland. The site is the biggest employer in the area and plays a pivotal role in the local community.
The factory produces frozen pies and pastry products, both own label and branded including Green Isle and Uppercrust.

The Gunstones family started this business in 1862 and went on to open their first bakery in Sheffield in 1925. In 1950, they built a factory at the current site in Dronfield.
