Fantastic family fundraiser at 2 Sisters

25 September 2018

One of Britain’s largest food manufacturers held a local family fun day at Thetford Rugby Club to thank colleagues for all their hard work over the last year and raised £730 for charity.

2 Sisters Food Group’s factory, based in Caxton Way, hosted the day which included a tug of war, five-a-side football tournament, a plank game, sumo wrestling, and the highlight of the afternoon - the chance to throw wet sponges in the faces of the management team. Burgers, beer and ice cream were on the menu as everyone let their hair down.

Funds raised were split between the Boparan Charitable Trust and the Benjamin Foundation.

Jeremy Chew, Operations Director, said: “2 Sisters is a fantastic place to work and we’re very proud of our great colleagues who work tirelessly to produce great food every day.

“This is our first ‘Family Fun Day’ and we wanted to create some fun and encourage the next generation of colleagues to come and work for us.”

Gareth Aston, Event manager for the Boparan Charitable Trust, said: "A massive thank you to team Thetford for their amazing day and for raising funds for the Trust".

The team are currently recruiting for multi skilled operatives across all shifts.  If you are interested please email your CV to hr.thetford@2sfg.com.
