Three ways to double your success

2 Sisters collected a flurry of accolades for its innovative and great tasting food including three double awards within the space of 24 hours.

The Meal Solutions division of Britain’s biggest food manufacturer submitted two special meals to the Grocer’s annual Own Label Food and Drink Awards.

Pennine Foods supplied the double award winning chilled prepared Asian ready meal while our pizza factory in Nottingham were behind the wood fired pizza winner, both supplied to M&S.

Commenting on the mouth-watering meals, a spokesperson for 2 Sisters, said: “We relentlessly innovate to delight our customers so it’s always fantastic when this is recognized and to score 20 out of 20 for innovation is a huge credit to our colleagues.”

“The format of the Grocer awards has changed this year to better recognize innovation so we’re doubly pleased that the M&S Taste Singapore chargrilled chicken and king prawn Laksa was selected as both the category champion and innovation winner.”

A smash hit since their launch in October 2015, colleagues at Nottingham had worked with M&S to refresh their wood fired pizza range and take it to the next level.

The spokesperson added: “The M&S wood fired pizzas are very tasty and a real favourite in any house. We’ve worked hard with our customer to develop a new range and it’s super to receive such positive feedback from the consumers judging the awards”.

During the same week, Goodfellas won a double gold award at the FreeFrom Food Awards for both varieties of their gluten free pizzas – vegetable and pepperoni – while our colleagues in sandwiches scooped triple honours at the annual Sammies awards.
