2 Sisters Red Meat supremo leaves for new challenges

25 July 2017

2 Sister Red Meat procurement director John Dracup has decided to leave the business after 22 years to pursue his passion for farming along with other opportunities.

John has a vast knowledge of livestock and market conditions which has earned him the respect of his peers and the wider farming community. Such is his breath of knowledge, he has represented the business in many forums, including in Parliament at Select Committee Enquiries, and externally represented the red meat industry.

2 Sisters Red Meat MD Andrew Cracknell said: “John will be hugely missed. His passion and knowledge for livestock is second to none and his recognition both internally and externally as one of the leaders in his field within the UK is truly deserved.”

John Dracup said: “It has been a very difficult decision to tender my resignation after so many years in the business, but there are other passions I have outside the business and now is the right to take up fresh challenges.”

John will continue to work with the business until January 2018. He will be succeeded by Prys Morgan who will work with John over the next six months to ensure a smooth handover.

LEGACY: John made a significant contribution and impact on the wider industry as well as the company.
