Loyal 2 Sisters worker Stan Hunter is celebrating forty years’ service at one of our chicken feed mills.
Stan, a commodity procurement office administrator, has worked at Stoke Ferry Mill in Norfolk since he was 17, and has now racked up an amazing 40 years’ service on 5th November.
Starting out in the grain office as an office clerk buying raw materials, Stan moved to stock control manager, then accounts office manager and back into the grain office working in procurement.
Responsible for the administration and stock holdings, Stan works alongside Alan Daley, Head of Procurement- Feed Commodities, and Martin Bamforth, Category Manager Commodities.
Throughout the years Stan has worked for five different companies Favor Parker, Grampian, Vion, 2Agriculture and for the last six years with 2 Sisters.
It’s a double celebration too, as Stan and his wife Jennie, who met whilst working together in the stock office, have recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
The team at Stoke Ferry held a presentation for Stan on Tuesday.
Stan said: “They gave me a framed photo, which they had all signed, some beer, wine and some money so that I can choose my own gift, I was a bit overwhelmed but it was a great surprise.”
Alan said: “It is such an amazing milestone for Stan, he’s a great member of the team.”
