Black Country football giants West Bromwich Albion opened up their doors last week for a charity football super league, showcasing the best footie talent from across the food industry.
The event, organised by Boparan Charitable Trust, saw teams from across the food industry and various 2 Sisters Food Group sites battle it out in a series of mini games to be crowned champions.
The charity super league, which is in its ninth year, was a huge success with 126 footballers coming together to raise a whopping £18,500.
Eight teams from across 2 Sisters participated, but it was the team from Sandycroft who found their inner golden boots and reached the final, where they met Proseal. It was a tense match but Sandycroft clinched it and were crowned victorious.

Stuart Dean, Sandycroft general manager, said “It is a superb win for the site and the whole event is a great way for the 2 Sisters sites to come together and have a great day out.
Thanks to the Boparan Charitable Trust for organising and we will be back next to defend the title.”
Football legend Tony Daley was on hand to crown the player of the day and Manish Bhasin, sports journalist and presenter gave an insight into England’s World Cup 2018 hopes and presented trophies to the winners.
Gareth Aston, events and fundraising manager, said “In the words of Chris Kamara, it was truly unbelievable… Great weather, 126 pumped up footballers and an iconic backdrop for them to play in, watched by legends of the game.
A massive thank you to everyone for making this event a huge success. We are already working on something special for the tenth anniversary of the event next year!”
Baljinder Boparan, trustee for the charity, said “A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Boparan Trust’s Super League event. The support has been fantastic and all the money raised will make a real difference.”
The money raised will go to support children and young people who are disadvantaged either through poverty, disability or life-limiting conditions.
