New wheels for six year old

A brave six year old from Sandiacre in Nottinghamshire has been given the gift of freedom, thanks to a donation of a specialist trike from The Boparan Charitable Trust - 2 Sisters' chosen charity.

Harrison Guilford has the rare condition: septo optic dysplacia, multiple hormone deficiency and bilateral dislocated hips, which means he has to undergo painful daily growth injections and cannot easily play with other children.

Harrison was presented with his new wheels during a special presentation at 2 Sisters' Pizza Factory site in Nottingham. Harrison captivated staff with his magical smile, as he rode the new trike. The specialist therapy trike will unlock new opportunities for Harrison, allowing him and his family the chance to enjoy life, whilst building on Harrison’s core strength muscles.

Harrison’s dad said “We cannot thank the Boparan Trust enough for this amazing piece of equipment, every day is a battle to unlock doors and get help for Harrison and this equipment will make such a difference to him and the rest of our family”

Baljinder Boparan, Trustee of the Charity said “These trikes are a vital form of rehabilitation and support for families, but are often out of reach due to their cost. It is important that every child should get the same opportunities in life."
