(Director of Group Procurement)
I joined the business from Iceland frozen foods 11 years ago as a senior buyer, an organisation which is similar to 2 Sisters Food Group. 2 Sisters is led by a strong entrepreneur, it’s an organisation that’s prepared to make quick bold decisions and react quickly, and our CEO Ranjit Singh is always accessible. That’s what I really like about working here.
I progressed to head up a team of buyers, before being promoted to my current role. I am fortunate to have a range of experience from the front line operations of stores, supply chain and buying.
I see the role of procurement at 2 Sisters to ‘future proof’ the business, whether negotiating the very best cost prices whilst ensuring our sourcing strategy is aligned to our business units or customers’ needs.
Procurement face challenges day to day due to the continually changing environment, whether its global supply and demand issues or technical and legislative changes. One thing for sure, is that no day is the same in the food industry and the opportunities to learn and grow are endless.
I really enjoy coaching and mentoring the team, after all they are the ones who deliver the results! There is nothing better than watching individuals grow and stretch into their roles, and that’s given me great satisfaction as an executive at 2 Sisters.
